Tip of the Day # 6 – Use It Up


Whenever you find yourself saying, “There’s nothing to eat in this house,” look through the vegetable drawer, condiment shelves and freezer. You might be surprised that with a little creativity, you can create a unique and healthy side dish. I did just that, and with some frozen (once fresh) cauliflower and green beans, a half jar of kimchi, some garlic, and left over onion, green bell pepper and red bell pepper, I made a colorful stir fry that tasted great, too. If you do this once a week, you will wind up throwing less away because of spoilage.
