I love using Spectrum’s Decadent Blend in my smoothies to boost their nutritional and digestive value. However, it tends to be an expensive product, especially when other family members catch on and start using it as a topping for fruit and other treats. I decided that I would start making my own. Here’s my recipe:
1/2 cup organic cocoa powder
2 tbsp. ground flax seeds
2 tbsp. chia seeds
3 tbsp. angel flake coconut
I store mine in an old Decadent Blend bag, but a canning jar works well, too. I add about 2 tbsp. to my smoothie each morning to help keep me feeling full and to aid my digestion. It takes my smoothies to the next level of fresh, invigorating nutrition!
